Shepreth Wildlife Park

Where: 20 minutes drive from Langley Farm Cottages. Post Code SG8 6PZ . Well sign-posted. Free parking. Family discounts. Adults from £12.50 and Children £10.50. They accept Tesco Days Out vouchers in payment for entrance into the Wildlife Park only (not valid on Event Days -please check ‘Events’ page for details, or in conjunction with any other promotion). No dogs.

Why visit

This wildlife park has won a number of awards and is a good family day out.  There are animals from various parts of the world to see.  There are also other activities for children.  Hosted talks throughout the day which are both fun and educational include displays and the chance to feed animals.

Children can also let off steam in the Play Barn (inside) or at the designated play area where there are picnic tables.  In fair weather there is a the opportunity to ride on the Safari Train.

Animals include; Tigers, Otters, Lynx, Red Pandas and Eagle Owls.

Shepreth Wildlife Park is raíses funds and awareness for a variety of in-situ and off-site conservation projects.

In 2011, the park management founded Shepreth Wildlife Conservation Charity (SWCC) with a view to raising even more money for worldwide projects.

The aims of this registered charity are:

  • To improve animal welfare and the conservation of British fauna and flora.

  • To improve animal welfare and conservation of fauna and flora of endangered species around the world.

  • To educate the general public about British fauna and flora, endangered species around the world and the local environment.

  • To provide grants to individuals and organisations to allow them to further the aims shown above.

To date, the wildlife park and SWCC have donated over £350,000 to wild conservation charities which include: WildCats Conservation Alliance, 21st Century Tiger, Madagascar Fauna Group, Wildlife Vets International, Red Wolf Coalition, World Land Trust, Furget-me-not, Amphibian Ark, WWF, EAZA Ape Campaign, EAZA South East Asia Campaign, Red Panda Network, Fauna and Flora International (FFI) and the Wildlife Trust.
